01, Project Context

Packaging for a new entry point

This project involved designing the packaging for the 592 Video Door Phone, a new entry-level product in the Electropeyk lineup. The goal was to create packaging that clearly communicates the product's features and accessibility, while remaining cost-efficient for mass production.

02, Design Challenge & Strategy

Clear, on-brand, and cheap to produce

Challenge

  • Introduce a new product category to the market
  • Clearly communicate the product's main features
  • Maintain consistency with the Electropeyk brand identity
  • Keep production costs low for an economic product
  • Create packaging that stands out in retail environments

Strategy

  • Used the Electropeyk blue and gray palette to keep consistency with the brand
  • Organized product information in a clear layout so features can be understood quickly
  • Designed a simple, friendly visual style suitable for an entry-level device
  • Balanced visual appeal with production simplicity to keep manufacturing costs low

The goal was to make the product feel modern, approachable, and affordable.

03, Design Exploration

Two directions, one selected

Two packaging directions were developed to explore different approaches to visual hierarchy and brand presence. The lighter blue version with structured feature rows was selected for production because it offered better readability and a stronger product presence on the shelf.

04, Packaging System & Production

Retail box to master carton

The final design combines clear product communication with a clean, structured layout. Feature rows highlight the main product capabilities, while the minimal design presents the product as friendly and accessible.

In addition to the retail package, a master carton system was developed to support logistics and distribution. The outer box was designed to hold 12 retail packages, allowing for efficient transport, storage, and retail handling. The packaging system was produced for large-scale manufacturing and market distribution.
