Packaging design for the 592 Video Door Phone — a new entry-level product in the Electropeyk lineup. Two retail box directions explored; the selected design balances clear feature communication, brand consistency, and low production cost for mass distribution.
01 — Project Context
This project involved designing the complete packaging system for the 592 Video Door Phone — a new entry-level product in the Electropeyk lineup. The 592 MTV was the company's most accessible video door phone: colour screen, SD card recording, CCTV connectivity, and a feature set designed to appeal to first-time buyers of residential security products.
The packaging had to introduce a product category that many consumers in the target market were encountering for the first time. It needed to communicate the product's main features clearly and quickly, maintain consistency with the established Electropeyk brand identity, keep manufacturing costs low, and create a presence on the retail shelf that stood out from competitors.
"The goal was to make the product feel modern, approachable, and affordable — without looking cheap. Feature communication and brand recognition had to work simultaneously from a single glance at the box."

03 — Design Exploration
Two distinct packaging directions were developed to explore different approaches to visual hierarchy and brand presence. Both used the same product photography and bilingual text structure but diverged significantly in colour treatment and layout emphasis.

04 — Final Retail Package
The final design combines clear product communication with a clean, structured layout. The front face leads with the Electropeyk logo, the product name in bold bilingual type (red for "Video Door Phone 592", Farsi below), the product photograph, and the eight feature rows in the blue diagonal-stripe band. The model designation "592 MTV / Color Video Door Phone" anchors the lower right corner in red.
The side panels carry the Electropeyk logo, brand identity elements, and 36-month warranty mark. The back panel provides contact information and the standard handling/warranty text in Persian. All box faces were designed to read coherently whether stacked on a shelf or displayed individually.

05 — Master Carton
In addition to the retail package, a master carton was designed to support logistics and distribution. The outer box holds 12 retail packages and was designed for efficient transport, warehouse storage, and retail handling. The carton uses a two-colour print on natural kraft board: navy blue ink over the raw cardboard ground, giving a warm golden-brown tone as the base colour — an economical production choice that also reads well in warehouse and retail stockroom environments.
The master carton carries all required logistics information: product code, model variants (black & white / colour / 3.5" / 4"), quantity (12 pcs), net weight (8.16 kg), gross weight (11.2 kg), and dimensions (27.2 × 43 × 35 cm). A diagonal hazard-stripe band in navy blue runs along the top edge — a consistent design motif that connects the master carton visually to the retail box below it.

06 — Role & Deliverables
The design scope covered the complete packaging system from concept through to production-ready files: two retail box design directions, the selected final retail box (all six faces), the die-line structure, 3D box mockups, and the master carton design (all faces, flat print layout, and logistics specifications).
The packaging system was produced for large-scale manufacturing and market distribution across the Electropeyk retail and wholesale network.
