An installer-centered packaging system for a multi-part coding line, reducing installation errors through colour-coded packaging and embedded guidance.
This packaging project was developed for a multi-part coding system that included distributors, power supplies, and other installation components. Because many packages shared similar sizes and structures, installers often selected the wrong part on site, leading to delays, repeated trips, and reinstallation work.
The packaging system was redesigned to improve rapid recognition, clear differentiation between parts, and better guidance during installation. It was conceived not only for branding and retail presentation, but also to reduce errors and support speed, clarity, and confidence during on-site work.
To reduce confusion, a simple colour-coded edge system was introduced, using narrow red, blue, and yellow lines to distinguish different product types at a glance.
The bottom of each package was also used to display key installation connection information, so installers could quickly access guidance without needing to look for the manual. This turned the packaging into both a recognition tool and a practical reference during installation.
The Coding Parts packaging system was designed independently, covering the colour-coding logic, the box graphics across all five parts, and the on-pack installation guidance.
